Convincing others

The ability to win people over is a very important competency to master for enterprising individuals.

A new idea, project of venture needs to find supporters who need to be convinced to commit and contribute.

This article below contains a necessarily brief overview of the main factors involved in winning people over. As the model shows, these include knowledge and understanding of the person to be persuaded and the setting; the enterprising person’s characteristics, social skills, social capital, perseverance, and strategy; the past relationship of the parties involved; and characteristics of the persuasive message.
